About this tool

Instrument Tuner is a free online tool. Detect pitch from your mic and tune guitar, ukulele and more.

Select the instrument type (guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, etc.) and click to start tuning. When playing strings, the tool captures sounds through the microphone, analyzes basic frequencies, and displays the current sound name and deviation from the target tone. The left pointer indicates low and the right pointer indicates high.

Tone detection uses an autocorrelation algorithm or YIN algorithm to extract the fundamental frequency from the audio signal. Standard tone A4 = 440 Hz, other tones are calculated according to the twelve average law. The tool displays frequency values and tone deviations in real time (1 tone = 1/100 tone).

Suitable for tuning guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, harp and other stringed instruments. It is also used in fixed-tone instruments such as pianos and harmonica. Keep the environment quiet while tuning and playing close to the microphone. Support standard adjustments and special adjustments (such as Drop D, Open G).

Online instrument tuners recognize tones through microphones, display deviation indications, and support tuning of guitars, bass, ukulele, violin and other instruments.
