About this tool

Color Blindness is a free online color tool. Color blindness simulator and vision test. Handy for designers, artists, and developers. It runs entirely in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.

After uploading the pictures, select the type of color blindness: color blindness (topopsia), green blindness (Deuteranopia), blue blindness (Tritanopia), color blindness, etc. The tool simulates the color effects seen by this type of colorblind person.

Color blindness is a hereditary visual defect in which patients lack certain cone cells and are unable to distinguish between certain colors. Red-green color blindness is the most common (about 8% of men), and blue-green color blindness is less common. The simulation algorithm uses a matrix transformation to map normal colors into the color blind perceptual space.

Designers use it to check whether color matching in charts, maps and UIs is friendly to colorblind users. If it is difficult to distinguish between the two colors after color blindness simulation, you need to adjust the color scheme. Tools are also used for education and science popularization.

A color blind simulation tool that converts pictures into visual effects seen by different types of color blind patients, helping designers check color accessibility.
