Keyboard Tester is a free online tool. Visualize key presses and test your keyboard.
This page displays the virtual keyboard layout. Press any key on the physical keyboard and the corresponding virtual key will be highlighted. You can detect whether each button triggers normally, whether there is a combination (one press triggers multiple times), or whether it fails. Displays the keyCode, code, key value of the key, and the time stamp of the press release/release.
Keyboard detection is based on keydown and keyup events and identifies physical key locations through evision.code (regardless of keyboard layout). You can test the N-Key Rollover (NKRO) ability, that is, whether multiple keys can be correctly recognized when pressed at the same time. All of this is done locally in the browser.
Suitable for checking for bad keys on a newly purchased keyboard. It is also used to check which keys fail after a keyboard overflow, or to test whether custom keyboard hardware is working properly.
